Pietro took a shallow breath of the foul air to regain his composure, then made his way to where Braschi stood, burying his nose in his elbow as he approached. Braschi pulled back the dead man's lips with his other hand, revealing long fangs where natural teeth should have been. He glanced over at Pietro, who stared in disbelief. Braschi said nothing and lowered the corpse back into the alcohol bath.
